Is This A Good Idea?

We interrupt our regular newsletter to quickly ask for your input on something.

As briefly as I can explain this…

There are basically 5 talks that I give at "Spiritual-Not-Religious, non-denominational" churches. All of these talks are a combination Humor and Spirituality woven together with stories, award winning songs, a little science, a little philosophy, fun, and genuinely helpful ideas. Over 25 years I have pretty much perfected them. On a scale of 1 to 10, I can say that the worst one is probably a 9. But that's just me being modest.

Topics Include:

God - sex - truth - spirituality - technology - humor - play - laughter - worry - mystery - wonder - awe - love - connection - death - science - free will - consciousness - inner guidance - meditation - out of body experience - relationships - self love - Jesus - Buddha - whiny victim love songs - stories - forgiveness - healing - humanity - and more

Songs include:

  • Just A Little Soul Hanging Out In Space
  • Writer's Block (The Long-Term Positive and Negative Effects of Worry)
  • All These Atoms
  • A Brief Mystery Of God (G-String Theory)
  • Free Will
  • So Long Dad (Chicken Soup For The Dead)
  • Analog Brain In A Digital World
  • The Night I Left My Body
  • Clyde (My Inner Guide)
  • Jesus Was A Bachelor
  • The (Brand New) Top Ten Whiny Victim Love Songs
  • Unconditional Love
  • My Ride Home From Neptune

...and more

So my idea - as it currently exists - is to combine these 5 humorous musical presentations into a streaming video series, like maybe one session every week. I'd pre-record them so that I can be right there with you on the chat as they stream, and then available afterward for live questions, observations, and foolishness.

OTHER POSSIBILITIES:

It might be fun to follow those five sessions with 1 or 2 more sessions of interviews with specific people who I consider not only qualified to enlighten us with their wisdom on these topics, but fun, fascinating folks. I also could tell you about my experience healing from a serious mental illness without drugs.

So these 5 to 7 videos - however many it turns out to be - would be one whole thing. You would sign up for all of it. Why? Mainly because I don't want to get into bothering you with something new every week. And I think they make sense as a series.

Other optional additions could include something like a final concert, with new songs, or songs we didn't get to in the sessions. This could be a live-stream and of course we could take requests.

I'd really like to know what you think about the whole idea. Where does it rank on your "Stupid-to-Fantastic" meter? You can let me know anonymously at the link below.

Maybe you're wondering: Greg, how would you deliver them?

Maybe Streamyard, which is great because you don't need an app, just a link.

And Greg, how much would you charge for all these sessions?

No idea! I have a figure in mind but it's not close to a firm number. It keeps bouncing around. What number comes into your brain? Or what does your gut say? Which body part do you listen to?
