Heart of the Mother
Absolutely beautiful two-part chant written by Michael Stillwater. Performed here by some wonderful singers at the Empower Music Awards, and led by me. The lovely prayer in the middle I picked up on one of our group trips to China.

The phrase "Kyrie Eleison" heard in this chant is ancient Greek for "Lord, have mercy."
It's one of the oldest surviving phrases in Christian liturgy, retained in its original Greek even in Latin Catholic masses — a rare case of the early church keeping the Greek rather than translating it into Latin.
It appears in various forms across many spiritual and musical traditions — from Gregorian chant to the Greek Orthodox liturgy to surprisingly secular contexts like the 1985 Mr. Mister pop song "Kyrie" which used the phrase in its chorus and became a hit without most listeners knowing what it meant.
